Curling at the tips

I have baby dreads (3 in of hair) and I have a problem with most dreads curling up at the tips( they look like question marks). I want to make them straight, and I've been twisting and using this crappy wax that doesn't do anything, they still curl up. I need help and tips on how to keep them straight . Should I get a new wax? Any tips on keeping them straight? How to twist?

omg get the wax out u do njot want wax at all u need to get every trace of wax out its evil even if u gottta start over..then leave the tips alone let them do whatever they want to do they will be finebut u were scammed wax is dread death u need to remove every trace

No more wax and no more twisting and they will probably uncurl. It's like twisting a string or something and it starts to curl, just leave it and they will relax.
