Let's Talk about Pinch Rolling (?)

I see how this could be useful at taming the new growth frizz...kind of like the towel rub trick? Nothing that would really affect the dreads but will look nice for a couple of hours..I can see it staying in curly hair till it gets wet or something too

thats what I was actually thinking, just got out of the shower a minute ago, washed with Dr B peppermint/lavender mix and rosemary/tea tree added,but it's still holding better than towel trick.any else here try it?
