What specifically do you consider "maintenance"?

Hey everyone! My question is simple - other than washing and separating, what do you consider to be maintenance? I see people in forums and whatnot posting maintenance, and I'm pretty sure they are just crocheting. Maybe? What other types of maintenance (like tidying up) exist that are not harmful? I'm now on the side that I want to avoid crocheting again like the plague, but if I wanted to tidy up after a year or so, what other options (if any) are available? Thanks!

Just wash and separate.
