Hello! So, I had my dreadlocks done in thailand in June. They used back combing and crocheting. Since then I have been crocheting them every two weeks or so. I can see the damage already, there's a lot of split ends and I am really worried I have damaged them beyond repair.

There wasn't any wax used was there? As of right now, all you can do is stop crocheting and leave them be after that. Leave them be :D that's all.

well

damage cannot be repaired so technicaly you did damage them beyond repair however repair and recovery are 2 diferent tyings

they will recover though crochet recovery does take a long long time

also beyond repair and absolute destruction are 2 diferent things too

in a few months youd have to crochet nearly daily to be totaly destroyeed

and some ppl crochet every few months for years b4 they aree destroyed

so yea you probly did alot of harm but yea they will recover

though crochet recovery is a long process

Just wash, separate and leave them to do their thing. They'll soon sort themselves out. Goodluck.
