how are my dreads coming along?

hey so i stopped brushing my hair about 2 months ago. i had my hair bleached cause i love blonde dreads, and found that my hair is locking up super quick cause of the bleach. but someone told me that my hair isnt going to dread up its just going to be matted down. now im nervous and want to comb all the babies out because i dont want to have just matted down hair, i want them to be the actual locks/ropes. here are some pictures of a few of my babies:

so what do you all think? am i on the right path? id love to have dreads but these people really irked me about just having matted hair. also the hair on the back of my head has one huuuuuge thick matted area on it. i guess from where i sleep on it lol

Right path, looking good and fast, just make sure to separate the hair when wet to avoid matting.

nah brotha, your hair is fine. rule #1. don't listen to anyone's lock advice

The only thing you NEED to do is wash and separate. Neglect works.

All locks are are knotted, tangled, and yes, matted hair. So having matted hair is a god thing. To make them into ropes, you just separate them so they don't mat into 1 giant lock. Otherwise, let them mat into their own respective locks.
