Baby dreads and tying them up. Help please

So I have baby dreads just a week old, I used twist and rip and have just left them since then. I have washed them twice. So my question is if I frequently tie my hair up will it prevent them from properly forming. I keep my hair tied up while at school but at home let it go free and just didn't know if doing this would be preventing them from forming. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Hi Ladie J. Hair will dread faster if left loose to move around. The twist & rip sections are a blueprint to your dreads and need to loosen in order to become mature dreads. They go on a journey of shrinking, looping and changing all the time. They need to be free!!! If you must tie them up, do it just before you need to and take them out as soon as you can. Just leave them loose as much as possible. Oh yeah, don't tie them up too tight. Peace

Thanks. I try and let them be free as much as possible but am going to try and keep them un tied even more now.
