I end up spending more time than I would normally like stuck around heavy chain smokers. This is killing me, since I quit smoking ciggertts not so long ago and now its hell.
Long story short- My head always ends up smelling like stale smoke by the end of the day because of my work mates- is there anyway shy of BS washing it every night to help keep that smell down??

just make a nice lil spritz of your fave esential oils
Just go to the dollar store and buy a couple of small water spray bottles, fill with water &, as SE said, add a few drops of your favorite essential oils. A spritz of that will get your locks smelling nice. You will smell wonderful. Make one to leave and home and one to take to work 
I work on a farm- most of my work mates are either Amish ( and they ALL smoke tobacco pipes) or "English" and the one woman chain smokes like a stack. I try to escape as often as I can to the barns but with the cold weather, its hard to avoid... I'll deff be making a run into town for spray bottles tomorrow ^_^ thanks so much!
