Good morning Mikhail. For dreads during the first year, I recommend the baking soda, apple cider vinegar rinse. This is a no touch, no scrub method that will get all the natural gunk off the scalp.
Mix 1/2 cup (.24 liters) Baking Soda to 5 cups (1.18 liters)of Water. Mix the two and pour on head, leave it on for 20 minutes, it will clean the scalp and hair. After the 20 minutes, rinse, rinse & rinse well. Next mix 1 capful of Apple Cider Vinegar to 5 cups water & pour over head, leave on for 1 minute only and then rinse well. The ACV conditions the hair and balances the PH
This is all you have to do, no scrubbing at all like you do with shampoos. Scrubbing removes knots trying to form, so this is best for forming dreads.
If you find you need a good deep cleanse for your first wash, add more baking soda-just make sure you rinse it all out. Never mix the BS & ACV together, as you will get a chemical reaction.

Your hair and scalp always feels like there is some stuff left in em....The cause of this could be your type of water. Hard water reacts differently to some soaps and shampoos, leaving behind a residue & the feeling that you have.

Yea i got you. Well i think I'm just gonna stick to the baking soda and apple cider vinegar and wash like twice a week. I think it will definitely work better than what I'm doing now. And id rather just avoid buying any expensive shampoos all together. Thanks again for looking out <3
i would say do a deep clean baking soda rinse. and then go witht the dreadlockshampoo.com shampoo, and alternate with dreadlock shampoo and baking soda/avc rinse. i got the dragns blood. it smelled like root beer and licorice lol. smells pretty good. i got the bar. it has helped knot it up a bit on the ends.

haha that sounds like a pleasant smell. Yea in retrospect i think alternating will be better. Definitely easier and it'll be nice to add some good smells to my head lol. I think i will also go with the bar. Thank you very much for the advice <3

Thank you Amanda. More reason for me to alternate. And then i can start to get an idea what works well for me and what doesn't. Thanks for the input <3
