shrinking stage

hello everyone! my dreads are a month and a week old almost two weeks this tuesday

and i was just dealing with a lot of frizz and loops at first

as of last week i have started noticing my dreads shrinking a lot!

especially in my top most layers and my bottom layers.

im not discouraged nor annoyed with it one bit i enjoy watching them grow and change every day!

but i was just wondering if maybe some methods make your dreads shrink more

since i used twist and rip to produce my dreadies.

and i would love to hear and maybe see pictures of others who watched their dreadlings shrink as well!!

I back combed my babies. And they have shrunk from about shoulder length to up around my chin. I am now about 4 months. I believe you can scroll through my pictures and see how they have changed. But you are not alone.

natural its less aparent since its more gradual crochet dont shrink much cai=use they di=ont dread much

if left alone they will eventualy tho

i think everyone goes through the stage but some shrink more than others.

well i dont do anything but wash and seperate.

and i heard freeform shrink more but i could be wrong.
