I chose to loc my hair to stand out from the crowd, at least be somewhat different (as far as appearance goes) from the folk I saw daily. I soon learned that no matter what you outside looks like, true uniqueness lies within. SO my locs are more so an additive to my personality, a symbol (if you will) for what is on the inside. Freedom!!! Love my locs, even had nightmares of them being snipped, woke up in a panic, smh lol.
