I've been thinking about wrapping all my dreads, I still have lots of loose hairs though. Will doing so help the dreading process or hinder it?

Open wraps tend to help more. By open, I mean a wide X pattern. Closed wraps (where you can't see your hair under the wrap) doesn't allow for hairs to tangle.Ixchel posted a few videos on different wrap styles.

well it does alow it to tangle tho maybe lil slower but they will be thin way thinner then the unwrapped roots

wraps should be more decorative then to helop pull in hairs etc

if your wrapping to help them dread dont bother

I've noticed, with a few of my wraps, that they do help the roots knots up well. But like Eagle said, they will be thinner than the unrwapped parts of your hair. I forgot to mention that.

Wraps really are a decorative thing. Beads are better for helping your hair knot up, than wraps are

Great, Thanks for the advice everyone!. Maybe I will just use beads instead, they seem like less trouble.
