Advice and inspiration for my mum, please.

Hi, my mum who is 59 and has waist length straight grey hair wants to start dreads. I think she will look very beautiful. I have told her to go for the natural method and just stop brushing. She would like some suggestions on what to do with her hair while it is in the process as she doesn't feel comfortable going out with it down ... she has worn it all up every day for the last fifteen years or so. Could you also recommend some photos on here of some more mature ladies and gents with dreads to inspireher a bit? Thanks in advance everyone.

i know many but not on here suggest a tam or crown or slouchie or some sort of dread hat

in some of my rainbow videos u might find a few elders with long grey dreads

well i wear a lot of silk or material scarfs makes it feel a it more like its up, like you still have something in your hair!!

and also can distract if she feels concious if it itsa bit wild. throw a bright or patterned one on and off you go!!
