So it's probably to late for me but I heard that parting your hair like in the middle or on the side is bad when you're growing your hair long because the weight and such and that it can cause weakening in that area so the scalp is more revealed as time goes on. I have a friend who wears his hair strait back because of this. I was wondering if this is true. when I made my dreads I did them along the hair part. I can move my dreads either side but I was just wondering this because I'm going to use the twist and rip method on my friend and I don't want to separate incorrectly or so that he gets thoses spaces like I once did.

Separating/parting
parts go away with dreads and it becomes more like a mane
when sectioning let it section naturaly or at least randomly to avoid those straight lines

So it doesn't really matter that my hair was parted a certain way when I made my dreads?And how should I go about section ing his hair randomly if I want them all to be about the same thickness ?
