My hair is about a week old after backcombing. should i wait to add beads or will the tightness of the beads promote locking. If I should wait, how long?

the answers yes but to clarify adding beads at any time will help..but if u can wait its good to too beads dont grow as dreads thicken so as they thicken the beads will squish them the dreads thicken above and below so the beads become permenantly stuck in a dent with thicker dead above and below

if u move and remove em often then you can add em abnytime

if u want to leave em in wauit till morde mature

You don't have to wait. Just be aware that if you leave them in your dreads will eat the beads and create thin spots. I have a couple that are locked in but I let them do that on purpose as I love the beads.

You can avoid that by moving the beads around.

In my experience beads help the whole process. Anything I've put a decoration on has dreaded up fantastically.

EDIT: Everything S.E said!
