Shea butter for dreads?

Hi. My hair is very prone to dryness so I've started putting African shea butter in my locks. Someone recently told me that this can damage dreads. What do you guys think about shea butter for locks. If it is harmful, what is another way I can moisturize my locks without damaging them?

Thanks!

sheas used alot by people of acfrican decent originaly mostly for dry ashy skin not dreads but some use it in dreads too african hairs very prone to dryness and breakage

sheas great to condition but its thick and builds up! so

better options

aloe vera (only pure aloe no other ingrdients) jojoba oil those are best vitamin e is good too

if u use the www.dreadlockshampoo.com bars u probly wont need anything at least not often

i used jojoba and aloe only once in the past 5 months since starting to use those

aloe i easiest to rinse out anything else can be over used easily

olive oil can work but may leave u oily and slippery same with africas best hair oil

they are lil too viscouse and heavy but shaes like 10000 times more viscouse and heavy
