salt water spray?

So I've had my locks for about 5 years now. I never had any issues. I tnr'ed at the beginning for 4 or 5. Then I just let the rest happen.

Eagle told me about this site so I joined. I heard a lot of people talking about using a salt water spray. I decided to give it a shot for the new locks forming on top of my head. I figured it couldn't hurt.

Well... I've used a spray bottle filled with oils before for itching and such. But I never had any smells I couldn't explain. Since starting to use a salt water spray, I have noticed a funky smell to my locks, eve after I wash them and rinse really well. I don't always wash the same day I spray. Sometime it stays in my hair for a day or 2. Anyone ever notice a problem like this? Will it work to just rinse well and just stop using the spray?

It's not really a pleasant smell. No one else notices it, but my head's right there you know. It's not like a mold smell, but not like a salty smell either.

pussy scalp? It doesn't itch. It doesn't feel irritated either. the smell might actually be kind of salty smelly. But it's got a hint of something else. could the oils be reacting with the salt?

Never thought of that. I got natural sea salt from whole foods. I actually just went against everything I tell people about washing and just took a shower to wash it off. I know it's late, but I dried really well. I'll hit them with a blow drier again before I go to sleep
