Henna coloring with dreads- feedback and advice appreciated!

Background- I want to dye my hair red, not orange but a little orangy is ok. I am getting married soon though, so because of how long henna takes to 'oxidize' I am wanting to get it done so the final color is out and it doesn't change more before the wedding. Wedding colors are gold and red, so will match well I think.

My hair color is mousy-brown with a lot of sun kissed blond parts due to my hair being easily lightened with sunlight. It's very multicolored all throughout because before locking up my hair already had summer blond in it. You can see my original color in these pics near my testers and also in my albums.

So I am testing some henna on hair, I tried a few mixes (water and henna only, half water half lemon juice and henna and lemon juice and henna.) I was thinking about tossing in just the smallest amount of indigo for a deeper color or more burgundy color but I was afraid of it becoming black or dark brown and when you go dark with henna and indigo you can't really go back from what I've read.

Anyway, here are some pics. First 2 are right after henna first time (I only tested 2 locks at first) one is hard to see, on the far right of the picture (I am not good at aiming the picture at myself)

The second pics are of after the henna had a chance to "oxidize"

and these attached pics are after a second application of henna on those locks and a third lock with a first application of lemon juice only henna mixture (first day)

Essentially my questions are if there is a way to get a more red result than orange (second ap may prove to be so but can't tell yet) and I had read that test sets often are not nearly the same as full head applications as when it's full head there is more saturation and heat (I didn't heat up the henna while it was on my head for test) - also, will a red- or orange if it turns out to be so, look bad with my coloring? I am not a ginger (I don't have loads of freckles) but I do have green eyes, which sorta goes with red. I normally don't care about what other people think about how I look but with the upcoming wedding I don't want to be orange. Wedding is at valley of fire state park in Nevada (which has red stones and gold sand, hence the colors for the wedding, and the red is a bit orangy, so orange is OK if it's not too bright). I just want a dramatic and vibrant color but not brassy orange and I'm wondering if that's possible or will look ok with my skin tone and other coloring... I don't often ask other people about what they think about how I'll look with something, but the dreadlockssite forum is different, I trust the opinions of other dreadies and natural product users. :)

Thanks for any input. :)

Did you look at the red and dark red on www.hennaforhair.com ? I really think that you will like that, because your tests don't reflect the color saturation I got using the red. Hereare my results:
