So I am now 17 months in and I have recently developed a funky new issue. The tighter my dreads get, the harder they are to rinse and dry. I am fastidious about cleaning and caring for my dreads. But about 3 weeks ago I started getting a mildew smell and I am not cool with that. Is there a safe way that I can treat my dreads to remove the funky smell without causing damage?
3/4 cup white vinager (not acv) 1/4 cup water 30-50 drops lavender oil
pour on ..leacve on 24 hours
sun dry
thyme tea sprayed on and left obn can help too make it real strong
other options neem seed oil
