profile backgrounds

Can someone please help? I would like to customize my background, but no matter what picture I try to use, it stretches n gets blurry. :/

I'm not technically oriented, but I used custom option and background patterns I got from online and I think it came out ok...I think they need to be specifically for background...good luck Chica!

change it to tile

iu can set multiple backgrounds for multiple elements and like if u see mine i used transparent backgrounds with semi transparent image backgrounds to form a layerd look

Thank you gentleman and lady. I think I figured out my problem... I was adding the pic and *then* changing the repeat option, and then it wouldn't budge. Yay.

One more question! What item do I mess with to change the white text background to something else?
