so last night i started on my journey via TnR and love them so far. i used elastics around the roots t help hold the dread since they are short. is it ok if i leave them in or should i switch to hemp string to tie off at the roots? what should i be using to help keep my dreads locking? i have read using just salt water helps is this true? if so should i go for a dip in the ocean since i live right down the street? or how long should i wait untill i go for a dip in the water?

do not tie anything round he roots and get those elasic bands off right away!
and yea go swim in the cean no need to wait

the thing is my hair is only like 3-4 inches long
should i take em out and wait till my hair get longer or just let it go and see where it takes me?
keep them in. Some will stay in some will mostly fall out. my hair is short too. 4 inches at the longest and i haven't had one fall out all the way yet at 1 month old.
