I might have done a bit of backcombing... okay there's no "might", I did backcomb. I haven't combed my hair in months and there wasn't a tangle at all, so I just helped it along. I know they will most likely fall out partially or even completely, I'm prepared for that. I'm just curious... I have some gel that a friend mailed me (she didn't like it), its Locksteady Tightening Gel from KnottyBoy. It is aloe based, no wax. I was curious if anyone has any experience with this stuff? I've used it once and it makes my backcombed sections hold together nicely, but it also feels like I've used hair gel on them. They are stiff and "crispy". I like how it smells and will end up keeping it whether or not I use it on my dreads is another story though. (I may keep it for my oldest son's mohawk.)

I thought that might be the case, I'll definitely quit using it. Thanks!
