Well I am melanie and I just wanted to introduce myself. I am on my second set of dread locks the oldest dreads are around 6 or 7 months. I have dreads on the nape of my neck that were pretty naturally formed ( I just couldn't backcomb it good enough) they are proly 4 or 5 months. I had my first set for 2 yrs and 11 mo I loved them very much but I believe that you hold a lot of energy in your locks and those 2 years were pretty bad and just a waste. So I brushed them out which took about 3 days. It took me about 3 months to realize that I really cant live without my dreads I love them too much and will continue on this 2nd set adventure for as long as possible. Sorry this is so long btw I am just venting but yea I hope to meet some new dreadheads and maybe make some new friends!! Peace and luvs mel.I love janis joplin btw :P
