and heres how the convo went (1st off it was plush salon in south carolina)

me: hi i hear you do dreadlocks?

them: (loud annoying music in background tho the website claims soothing music) yea

me ok how do you do them?

them : what do you mean

me how do you do dreadlocks

them holdon (clank of dropped phone more loud annoyig music and noises)

them can i help you

me yes how do you do dreads

them : you mean start them maintain them or wash them?

me well start lets start there how do you start them

them add products and twist

me you do that for cauca=ian hair too? what products?

them no that is a diferent process

me ok what do you do

them i cant tell you

me why not

them well are you a client?

me no a freinds concidering geting them from you i want to know what yiou do

them i cant tell you its our secret

me why cant you tell me

them do you know about dreads

me yes and most salons screw them up so what do you do

them i dont want to say

me so you really dont know how to do them right?

its funny how they all act like they use sectret techniques or special sauces

like weirdsistas claiming they dont use crochet cause crochets harmful they use a speciap weaving that makes the hair hook itself..turned out it was crochet

and the others who interlock but say they dont they use secret pattented techniques

or when they make theyre own wax alternatives and turns out to be ..wax maybe mixed with hiney

it seems the more secretive they are about what the y do the worse the techniques they use are

especialy when they act like they invented the techniques or have to protect some trade secret

i wonder if they hire spies to do industrial espianouge and steal the secrets of other salons lol

hahaha so when someone gets their dreads done at this place do they put them behind a red velvet curtain and then finally reveal the crazy things when they are done? I mean what exactly are they doing, besides sounding very unprofessional on the phone, to keep this 'secret' ??
