Dreadlock Nation! My name is Mitch and I live in Kansas, yes Kansas. I don't have dreads but, I am planning on starting today. I have been doing the towel rub method. What washing methods should I use? And how often?

towel rubbing just gets a general knottiness started then u gotta rip it apart to not get a dreasd helmet and u shouldnt keep rubbing once u got a lil knottiness

wash when u feel dirty or itchy

use either the baking soda soak (no scrub)

or

dr bronners or non residue shamopoo scrub scalp not hair rinse thru hair

seperate it into individual dreads otherwise it will form 1 massive dread wool towel rubbing creates just a rats nesty of knots all knotted up into a helmet like matt

4 inches is kinda short for any methiod
