Okay, I've read these forums a lot and have read a few things about this, but I still want to ask to get the best answer possible. As of today I am 3 weeks into my natural/"neglect" method dread babies. I'd say I've made very good progress in little time (you can check out my blog or photo album to see) but I really would like to dye my hair. I have it dyed now, the roots are just growing in and it's getting to look a bit tacky to me so I wanna touch it up. I know it's best to not use the conditioner included in the kit obviously, but when I rinse should I do a quick wash with Dr. Bronner's or just plain water? And is it even alright to dye my hair? I've read some places that it helps it knot, but other things have said it can hurt the process. What's the truth and am I really better off waiting a few months before doing it?
