does chlorine really help lock up dreads?

i don't remember where i heard this, but i heard chlorine and salt water helps lock up dreads. true or false? thank you. <3

salt water yes

any wayter to an extent

chlorine specificly dont think so in fact u wanna wash it out

anytime your hairs getting wet its gonna tangle

sea salt dries out opils so it dreads fast

clorine i guess can dry it too but also can fry it
