winter itchies

So I only wash my dreads maybe once of twice a week with baking soda and ACV my grandma also sabotaged my dr bronners so i threw that out- whole other story but noticed before i used it, but this morning my head was kind of itchy, and I'm not really sure why.I have a few guess's

1) It's been a really cold winter and usually a severe temperature change can cause dandruff, I kind of have some flakes too, and I can't really help it but Ive been itching my scalp in my sleep I think

2) I hope to blanking god I don't have lice, I had them once when i was really young but I don't remember what there like, So if any one has had lice? what do you look for? how do you know u have them? does you head itch constantly or just a tiny but here and there.

3) I have no clue maybe I should just use hot water instead of both, I have no idea, any input would be great.
