Okay so, I just started my new dreads this past Saturday and I suppose they look okay, but I can't really find much to compare them to. My hair is ridiculously thin so I'm having A LOT of trouble getting the roots to lock up no matter how much I back-comb. Also some of the stray hairs that came out won't lock up into the rest. I know I'm very much into the early stages of dreads and they don't look terrible, I've seen worse. I'm just looking for some advice, thank you. :]

pictures? i have thin, fine hair too. its super soft too. backcombing and t&r doesn't stay in my hair. i think the best thing to do is keep your hands off your hair and keep it clean. i'm finally seeing some knotting on the ends of my hair and i'm 4 months in. it's definitely a longer journey for people with our hair type.

Yeah before even seeing the replies to this I kinda figured to stop it anyway, My hair was just too thin so it really wasn't doing much. Haha, if anything I was just eager. But thank you all for the answers. I appreciate it. :]@

Yeah it doesn't really do much to my hair either. Surprisingly my tips have already starting knotting a bit, I expected it to be the last part. :] I'll just them them do their thing, and keep at it. Thanks for the reply!
