unknown butter.........................To use or not to use????

So I got this tub of yellow butter looking stuff at a festival from a vendor and well no pun but he was aJamaicanBlackmanwith gorgeous dreads.He said it was safe to rub on my skin and even on my dreads. Bad thing is I was kinda out of it and don't remember if he called itSheabutter or cocoa butter or what? It's kinda greasy and I'm scared to use it on my dreads I don't want to make them greasy looking....It does make my skin feel awesome and greasy......Any advice here?

its shae butter and if your not black its too conditioning for dreads that arent mature
