Itchy Scalp

Ok. I live in a super cold and dry area. Because of this during the winter my scalp is dry, my skin is dry, my hair is dry...everything.

I've asked about aloe before, and decided on making a stronger vinegar rinse before resorting to aloe on my baby dreads. So far the dreads themselves are doing exactly what baby dreads do. Some days they look awesome, some days I throw on a tam because I feel like medusa with really fuzzy roots...it is what it is...you all know how it goes. I'm not really worried about anything with my dreadlocks EXCEPT this...

My scalp itches. Bad. I even resorted to checking for lice last night....no lice, no dandruff, no anything like that....however...it itches. Bad.

I wash once a week, alternating between BS/ACV Rinse and Dilluted Bronners. I stopped doing sea salt spray because it's just too dry. As far as I can tell i'm doing everything right...its all rinsed out too - I checked.

It looks great. The baby dreads feel great...(a little dry but doing their thing)...But lately I want to claw my scalp off because it just itches.

Any suggestions on how to deal with that?

I wish I had a dryness problem... my scalp is just a psycho oil producer.

I've heard, like what SE suggested, that peppermint is very soothing. Good luck
