I started my process on dreads with a 2 strand twist at 6 inchs of hair I have really straight hair and the shop told me to spray ocean water daily witch I do and it's been a week since I've got them done I'm jus a little worried that I did start them right?? Or if the twist will lock or jus come apart?? Note that they backkcombbed the hell out of it then did the twist helpppp!! Thanks lottss

are u white or black u were screwed by a salon thats odvios cause backciombings for 1 type hair twists fir african hair to do both makes no sense at all
did they also wax u up or use any preoducts i assume your white since they said use sea salt well
u wasted money thats for sure
if they used wax u might as well start over wax free ?(9id ask for your money back too)
if your african twists will dread if not they wont
but the backcombing will
u want to wash them and ignore everythung the salon said
no wax no products nothing just wash and never go back
but was wityh the right stuff the right way
so lets see pics and we can tell what to do or not do

and i cannot stress this enough salons..dread shops..locticians..are always a mistake the worse thing u can do so never go back now we gotta save your dreads from whatever they did

now ui see a pic threy look painfully tightly twisted so what your gonna wanna hope for is that they loosen up quickly so they can dreadd u never want to go back to her
what did she do besides backcomb and twist what did she recomend
just wash them and shake em out and hope they start to come apart so they can start to dread

she said in like 2 months they could start locking and pretty much thats all she said i have a free appt. in 2 months for her to do whatever she has to do idk wat that is .... there not really tight at all if any thing im scared there gonna unravel

now that i see the closeer pics well few things
1 your scalps glowing bright red looks very iritated
2 she backcombed those 1st they do not look it they look like twists and i seriusly doubt they will ever dread i could be wrong are there w=elastic bands on the ends u gotta take those off
and never go back free or nit she will either retwist em or interlock em both very bad ideas
and i would be very very surprised if those dread
but..if they unrwavel they will dread fir sure so take out any elastics and leave em alone
u woulda been way better off doing them yourself using twist and rip
and they wouldnt look so silly (no offence)
it will be interesting to see if they actualy do dread but i think it would be best to undo the twists and twist and rip then they for sure will dread

yea i know thats y im so confused but i seen a white guy in there with the same hair type done the same way 6 months ago and they started lookin like long buds looked good but idk

dude if u never went there 6 months later youd have dreads..hair dreads itswwhhat all hair wants to do if u leave it alone long enough to dread
most hait dreads naturaly between 1 and 6 months so just cause she twisted his doesnt mrean the twistes helped em dread if u never twisted the hair in a few months u would have dreads ..
so the best thing that can happen to those twists is thay fall apart and then start to dread
now what id recomend if you dont want to just let them dread naturally is one by one untwistt them andtwist and rip it that will make it much more dread like and give it the perfect conditions for your hair to dread from
but its up to u u can try 1 and see then decide wether u wanna do the rest
u can do every other 1 and see which dreads best
i just have no confidence in t2 stranmd twists ever dreading in your hair unless they fall apart and then dread the neglect dread way
