assumming your reffering to dreading and not just life in generalits addiction they are addicted to the concept of having to do something to gain something and dreads seem to be a mystery then theres sites like dreadheadhq promising dreads0 methods 30 products and 15 tools see how easy they make it?they advertise that as the easy method hahahaso if thats easy then anything else must be even more complicated requiring a professionally trained hair technician with as phd in knotology

yea i guess i was initially referring to people making dreading so complex but also life in general, i suppose it stems from that. If it's simple it can't be good! I feel the opposite way. Simplicity is so beautiful. Life can be pretty easy if you let it so can dreading! LOL at the phd in knotology!!! Johnny is to blame for some of this but so are a lot of people for giving him such an easy in. Many Blessings!
I've been wondering this for a while... and I'll tell you what got me wondering. I work for Petsmart's Pet's Hotel... sounds nice, but it's really just an upscale kennel. Anyhow, one of my co-workers started pushing more work onto our shift (3rd shift, most of our job is just to look in on the dogs and clean up from the previous shifts making sure that the hotel is stocked for when 1st shift comes in) because there was too much down-time for her.... I mean sure, we had an hour here, and another hour there, and while it could sometimes be really really boring, we need that slow season to recoup and prepare for the holidays (at chrismas we can house almost 300 dogs at once... imagine that level of noise for a second...). She's leaving as of today, and now those of us who are left on the shift are trying to settle back into an easier routine... it's pissing off first shift, I'll tell you that much. We were doing so much of their work thanks to her, that they had nothing to do in the morning, and were enjoying being lazy. I just don't understand why someone would want add half another shift's work to our already pretty packed work schedule just so that they were never sitting down/always had something to do (Please note that she wasn't doing it to get noticed, as she made it clear to management that her schedule wasn't open enough for a promotion, which could be a viable reason to try and pack that extra work in; to get noticed and promoted). It made me realize that I really hate workaholics. The stress that her expectations put on me and the shift is unreal. At least now we have a number of new corporate policies that make our shift really nothing but a cleanup crew (they cut us down to one person and have told us that we are forbidden to have any contact with the animals for our own safety... sucks, as I love to snuggle puppies, but makes the job a cake-walk) so we can't do any of those things that we've been expected to do previously... Still...Why the hell would someone do that? It just blows my mind. Even the tasks that we had previously she would try to break up into tiny chunks of work when really it could be done in one go... I just don't get it.

perfect example of what i mean! That really sucks about no contact with the animals, if i were bringing my dog there to be cared for i wouldn't be too happy about that, i would want my pet to be loved while i was away. They must be required to have insurance in case something happens?? Makes no sense at all. Faelwynn said:

I keep telling people it's just a phase. Usually, as long as it's not in front of the cameras, and we already know the dog, we'll go in and snuggle them anyhow. That's just Petsmart's way of telling us that if we go in there and get hurt, it's not on their heads as they told us to stay out of the rooms to begin with. NaturalWomyn said:

I used to work at a dog kennel also, except we had to be in there at all times, in view of the camera. It's fun sometimes, but breaking up fights, not so much. I actually got bit twice, and you know what? the assholes I worked with pretty much were like "I told you so" both times. Well fuck me for taking some initiative, so glad I don't work there anymore...ya that doesn't really relate to what was being said, just thought I'd throw itin there XD Faelwynn said:
