so ive been growing dreads for about 4 months now. They are definitely coming along. Last night though when i was feeling through my hair. I noticed there was one dread that towards the root sort of had a "clumped together" bit of waxy/sticky-ish hair. I never used wax so i was wondering if this could just be natural wax from my scalp? and if so is natural scalp wax bad for dreads?I dont think its soap residue because its literally only on one dread. ive felt around and couldnt find any other spot that had this same thing going on.

I think you mean like scalp oil? What do you use to wash? I use peppermint oil and tea tree oil and they help a ton witIh oilines. But like knottysleeves says, if it's just one it should be nothing. Has it been there long? Have you tried washing?
