tighter dreads

i dont get how people wash thier dreadlocks and say that it made them tighter afterwards.what causes that to happen???

Well... Mine loosen up after I wash.. But before they a dry I spray them with sea salt water and that dries and tightens them.

it just gets knotted easier when wet when u wash it it gets knottier and knottierbut before its dreads when its just backcombed or twisted it loosens 1st so knots can form the loosening does add some knotting and the more that happens the closer it gets to tighteningafter a few months it starts tightening more and more
