my hubby gets the same thing in the same places.I think it's similar to dandruff and it's caused from having a big beard/sensitive skin. He finds that washing it really well with Dr. Bronner's tea tree soap really helps. Many Blessings

It looks like contact dermatitis.Regardless of what it is you could use tea compresses of comfrey and/or calendula. They are both super skin healers and very gentle. (use cheese cloth or coffee filter compresses if you only have loose herbs)Keep the area clean with ACV or BS rinse, gently pat dry or better yet air dry completely then compress it with the tea bags, make sure they are cool though the heat will intensify the inflammation. You could also coat the area with real vitamin E. or honey after cleaning and compressing, but be careful, if you coat it and it is getting more irritated take of the coating. The coating will help it heal but sometimes it can stop the skin from breathing or trap bacteria and counter act the healing process, it just depends on your skin.(esthetician/skin care specialist)

Glad it's feeling better.Rosemary might be easier on the skin and less painful. It is a local analgesic. soaringeagle said:
