dreadlocks pictures information products

a pictures worth a thousand wordsand a pictures of dreadlocks with and without products tell the full storyunfortunately sites like dreadheadhq and knottyboy use flash pictures so we cant do a side by side comparison.but heres a few things to look for.dreads that point at funny anglesif the dreads dont seem to hang right but instead have a strange curve or obvious stiffness to them, if they point forward, stick straight up or stick straight out to the back, this indicates stiffness due to wax hardening.dreads that are too smooth without texturethis can indicate being covered in a waxy film that smooths out the hai making it look more like a solid structure then matted hair.perfect uniformitythis generally makes dreads look fake, manufactured without personality.on the other hand, product free dreads have a more organic beautythey dont require complicated how to dread instructions they are more instinctual, the hair knows how to dread if allowed to dread. theres no need for dread kits dread tools rubbing rolling or anything , not even backcombing or other methods to start dreads. the maintenance as well is easier without products.

these are just 2 weeks old no products, notice they hang right don't stick straight up or look stiff or sticky

notice in this how the dreads hand straight despite the head angle, they dont maintain a curve or hang towards the shoulders like waxy stiff dreads do.

notice how soft and flexible the dreads look? they are not hard, solid and bend easily.

this is a perfect exacmple of the organic beauty of dreads that is destroyed by using products tools and methods that are aimed at removing the uniqueness of dreads

thats truew too its all overmaintanance working on them instead of just letting them dread its all the forcing them to look mature when theyre still just babies..the rush to get to some idea of perfect dreads just turns them into something far from perfect.dreads are chaotic disorder forming organic beautyproducts and maintenance methods just try to tame the chaos and creat order that ruines the whole process and the beauty that comes from the natural disorder.
