i've had bad dandruff in my dreads for years the baking soda and acv with teatree and rosemary did a fairly good job, but it was actually a question from a newbie that provided the final key ingredient that wiped away all dandruff and buildup completely!to start i put just a lil baking soda (1/4 cup or less all measurements were approximate and are per gallon) a good squirt of already diluted dr bronners (only had the citrus)i added a few drops teatree and rosemary oils (i used less baking soda and oils then usual) i poured it on and tried to lather but wasnt enough soap to really lather.before i finished pouring it on i spilled the rest of the gallon so i re-mixed it blind with etes closedthis tme using more bronners cause it lathered easy (i bareky rubbed just a quick lathernow the secret ingredient that really superpowered iti used cool only slightly warm water to wet and washi didnt leave the baking soda soap mix in like id usualy leave the baking soda to soak, instead after just 1 minute i shut off the hot water completely and did a freezing cold rinseafter a minute when it became unbearably cold i added just a tiny bit of warm water just to make it bearableok so lets compare heretypically i used way more baking soda no soap and took 10 minutes to soak and id do a 3 minute acv soak with a 3 minute rinse between and a 5 minute rinse after (just to be thorough.this time1 minute sudsing way less baking soda unknown amount of bronners (enough for a lather)less oilsnot even a minute or 2 soakmaybe 1 minute freezing rinseno acv after rinseand the results were amazingly betterthe dandruff was gone completelyhair felt great tooi really believe the cold cold rinse was what really did the trick

Cool, I agree because hot water causes your scalp to over dry.

I'm glad you discovered this, Brother Eagle. Cold water also helps the hair's cuticle to close, be smoother.
