So i havnt accidentally gotten any regular soap in my hair but i feel like i may be overly concerned with the consequences. I was giving my dog a bath the other day and pretty much put my hair under a beanie. My question is is it very bad to even just get a little regular soap/shampoo in your hair on accident? IM not talking about lathering it in but say some of the soap suds get in my hair is that very bad?

you worry way too muchits true that non residue is best but its not necessarythe 1st couple years i dreaded i used just plain old ivory bar soap..not the best but was finewhen dry i used main and tail leave in conditioner..again not the best but was fineu can use any soap really but with the cost of buildup ..its not the best but wont hurt ya much. just do a clarifying shampoo now and then to remove buildup and u can use virtually anything..ofciurse non residue or baking sodas is best.. but u dont have to hide in fear of soap...or mud..or anything what goes in can come out as long as theres no wax to trap itonly thing that should really be avoided at all costs are thin gs very hard to remove ..axel grease syrup glue wax motor oil etcthink wiping your ass with your dreads would do less harm then wax or any of those cause it would wash right out fairly easynon residue soaps do cause a buildup over time but a clarifying wash will strip it all out..and the baking soda probly will tooso if u do the baking soda deep cleanse at least monthly you should be able to use crappy shampoo without fear
