Tying up new dreads?

I HAVE to tie my hair up at work because of health and safety, I'm looking for some not too damaging ways of doing this. Lately I've been using a t shirt sleeve but it falls out easily. And the last thing I want is a permanent kink in my dreads from bands.

?

Just use a bit of ribbon or lace and tie it around loosely.

I wrap mine on itself, taking the top layer and making a bun then I split the hairs remaining and wrap opposite directions. Something tied around will double secure it

Wouldnt that harm new dreads? Being curled all day?

Idk if it harms them, maybe slows locking while up, you can wrap loose or tight.

Unless you can find a hat that fits your hair inside loosely I think anything you do will not be as good as having them free. You just do the best you can.

How long are you in the process? I read on your page you r&t to start and natural since?

Maybe SE can remind me what those hat/beanie things for dread are called. I still want one. Maybe now I will make one or two!
