My hair was 12" when I started. All my back combed dreads in the front fell out. So I went neglect. I'm a year and 1 month in and it just started dreading.

i wouldn't the bs wash can weaken the hair too much

and at 6-6 1/2 inches you shouldn't expect fast dreadiing

The best saying I was told about dreading is " the easiest way to dread is to let go, the hardest part of dreading is letting go "

they need 6 inches to dread at all, that's the minimum so ofcourse they will dread faster when longer

a couple months will add an inch and that will make a difference
