Wrapping baby neglect dreads?

I'm about six weeks into a neglect journey. I've seen some people recommend putting beads or wraps in the middle or ends of the early sections. Is this a good idea? It's supposed to help them stay together but it seems like it might prevent the movement needed to lock up. 

they are flexible afterr being wsshed afew times i started several out with beds or eraos  butthe wrapds keep the wrapped parts skinny

if u do it do it for the decoration not for asny other reason
