I went to the salon and I just wanted to get a single dread in the back of my hair. All the lady did was put some gunk in my hair and twist it. Needless to say, it didn't hold. I really can't dread my own hair but I'm dying to get it done. Just a few. I live in SC. Does anyone know anywhere that does natural (gunk free) white people dreads? help asap.
Is doing it naturally an option? You could have a friend do the twist and rip method on you.. Check this out..

you can just stop combing and it will dread itself
or simply take asection, twist it a lil..not tightthen split it into 2 parts and pull those parts away from eavchotherr, put themmback togetrher and split agaiun each spliutr in a new location meaning diferent ammou8ntse of hair in each hand each time pull paetr puttogether split pull etc betc e eyt so often twist it again
this ids a very easy gentlye way to start
