hello my name is Jennifer and I am new to this forum. I wanted to know if anyone that has done their dreadlocks naturally without any gadgets and gizmos :) have separated their hair in boxes with rubber bands and left them alone to naturally lock? do they naturally Lock separately using rubber bands?I have thyroid problems and I am losing my hair this is very difficult for me to talk about with other people but I am looking for Dreading because the thought of losing my hair is unbearable I'm sure this would be the normal feeling for any person that would lose their hair. I dress modestly and I head cover. I want the appearance of having more hair while fully head covering. I have wavy hair that is past my waist but when I put it in a bun it is very very small. I am open to any suggestions. thank you for your support

I forgot to mention that I've always liked dreadlocks but never dared to get them and my hair is thin. I also wanted to know if I can twist my hair in separate parts and then leave it to dread up by itself?

dont use rubber bands in dreads ever! it will section itself perfectly tbgen dread no need to do silly box paterns

a mix of thick and thin looks best in thinning hair

try not to cover it much while dreading
