Welcome. Eagle's right. Twisting more than 2-3 times a year will destroy your locks. I you can see your scalp in between your sections, it's a sign of traction alopecia, which leads directly to baldness

Welcome. All hair locks naturally. It's not something that needs to be forced to happens. Wax will actually only force it to not happen. Because it sticks your hair together, it prevents loops and tangles from forming. Without tangles, hair doesn't knot. No knots means no locks.

Bee's wax is even worse. It is thicker and stickier than "dreadlock wax". Water gets trapped inside your locks and can't get back out. This creates a swampy mess of decaying hair that can actually rot your hair away. I used it for my first set and my hair rotted off my my head in 2 months.
