Lockticians fucked my shit up, so I cut my hair off. I want to dread again using a neglect method so that way I want have to worry about people screwing up my hair. I spent so much for these lockticians to fuck up my hair. I was pissed, but I will try to do the locks right this time.

welcome baba is right the crochet hooks a huuuge mistake it causes severe damage and prevents proper dreading for a very long time it takes 6 months on average to recover from1 use over a year if u used it alot
Welcome. although back combing is acceptable, it does cause some damage. But the crochet hook destroys your locks. It breaks hair into tiny pieces and overtightens them without them actually tangling and knotting. What you end up with is a lock that is to tight that it traps water and runs the risk of snapping off in places because it is too tight
