good just unfortunately they will have to go through a crochet recovery period

Because you crocheted, you can use it a bit more often. I'd say before every wash, massage a little into each lock. because it's an oil, it'll need a little more time to rinse out. If it isn't all out by the time you finish washing, don't worry, it won't hurt. Just don't use much or any the next time you wash (depending on how often you wash). Recovery from crocheting can take upwards of 6 months. Don't try to rush it. That can do more harm than good.

Once they have recovered, jojoba oil is great for the health of your scalp. If you ever use essential oils, always mix them with either a ton of water or jojoba. It's the closest oil you can find that is almost exactly what your skin naturally produces

No problem. I know it can be annoying to see so many people condemn a method you've been using. I'm glad you realized it without taking it badly. That's a sign of real maturity. If you need any help, let me know. You can help your locks heal a bit with some jojoba oil. If you massage it into your locks, it'll help loosen them up a bit so they can retangle in a healthier way

Welcome. But crocheting only makes them messier in the long run. Every time you crochet it breaks more hairs into more and more pieces. They may look nice for a little while, but once they start to loosen up a bit, those loose ends pop out. The more your crochet, the more loose ends there are that pop out. If you leave them alone, those frizzies will get sucked back into the lock. But if you keep crocheting to "fix" it, they will always pop back out.

Not to mention that the more you crochet, the weaker your locks get. Eventually they can and will get weak enough that a stiff tug will snap them in half. And if you crochet the roots, they can snap off at the root, leaving a bald spot
