Welcome. But everything that DDHQ sells is damaging to locks and toxic to your health.

Their lock peppa is a scam. Al you need is some seal salt and water and you have your own lock peppa, and it only cost you a few cents, instead of a few bucks.

DHHQ shampoo is extremely toxic, and is actually not a dreadlock shampoo. It is a hunting shampoo repackaged with a neat colourful label.

Wax completely prevents locks from forming, It creates an illusion of locks because it glues your hair together into long candles that look like locks. But if you wash the wax out, you'd see that they were neveractuallytangled. Wax is a hydrocarbon and NEEDS a detergent to wash it out. That's why their soaps contain SDS, or SLS which is extremely toxic to your health.

Crocheting is the most damaging thing that can be done to locks. All it doe sit breaks hairs into smaller and saller pieces which weakens them to the point of breaking off at point. They can even break off at the root, which will leave your with a bald spot. It also delays locking by 6 months for each session with a needle.

Their butta is also a bad call because it builds up in your locks making them heavy and filled with residue.

The only thing you need for healthy locks is to wash them 2-3 times a weak with a non residue shampoo. African textured hair needs a little more conditioning, but caucasian and Asian hair shouldn't be conditioned at all, unless it's brittle or dry. And then, only a some essential oils are really needed. Aloe works well, but will slow down the process
