Why do you not want to use wax?Well Claudia, 2 reasonsThe First being that wax in most instances is waterproof & therefore will not dissolve in the water when you wash your hair thus, building up over time.... I heard of one girl that cut her locks after 3 years of waxing & there was a wax core in the center of the dread..... not pretty =s& the second reason is that wax hinders the locking process... whilst in the mean time the dread looks matured, inside the dread is still in teen or even the baby stage. All in all it's your call hun, I'm just sharing what I know with you & then you can make your valued judgement from there. But I have heard to use Aloe as your wax substitute & Vinegar &/or a Bicarb solution to wash residue out of them =]Love London <3

Oh and I would say start from the back bottom. That way you can get used to it before you do the dreads that are more visible.

haha actually I have a discussion going about that :)I have dyed my hair for years before dreads and now that I have dreads I was looking at other ways to color or if I should just go for a natural color. What I have now is the leftover of a dye i did a few monts ago, my natural hair color is dark brown. You can have a look at the discussion here :)Do you like natural colored dreads or dyed and multicolored dreads?Read more: Natural Color vs. Dyed/Multicolored - dreadlocks forums http://www.dreadlockssite.com/forum/topics/natural-color-vs?xg_source=activity#ixzz0sjJjc7da the best place for real dreadlocks no lies no products to buy just truth about healthy dreadsUnder Creative Commons License: Attribution
