Welcome. It's great you stopped using band at your roots. They cause nothing bu problems.

As for crocheting and palm rolling... Crocheting is the most damaging thing that can be done to locks. It rips hairs into smaller and smaller pieces making them weak and frizzier over time. With all of the broken hairs, there are more ends to pop out of your locks and look messy, which leads to feeling like you have to crochet again to clean them up, which only causes more rips and more frizzy ends.

Palm rolling only does 1 of 2 things. If you don't do it much, it doesn't create any lasting knots. If you do it a lot, it can irrevocably destroy your locks. Check out my video on what only 2 weeks of daily palm rolling did to my locks. 6 years later, I am still trying to fix the damage.

Root rubbing is essentially scrubbing your scalp with a brillo pad. It irritates your scalp and can cause sores. It also shreds your roots and causes weak spots in your locks

welcome but u shouldnt palm roll root rub or crochet at all! especialy the crochet

thats not fixing thats destroying

its plike using a wrecking ball to fix a dent caused by a hammer

your causing the issue yoir fixing and it will only ruin them and delay progreses by 6 months or more!

root rubbing will pull the hair right out of the head so your dreads arent connected to the scalp anymore

lock peppa does nothing..its just store bought dirt

just keep w3asshing and seperating nothing else
