Thanks! Honestly, I got them started by back combing~done at a salon, by a girl that does dreads. But, I did have an advantage: I am half Arab (Lebanese) & I have very coarse, thick hair~it would start forming into matted clumps at the end of everyday anyway (unless I had time to comb it out over & over)! But, I did not know at the time that I could have just let it go & it would dread on its own. She checked them after a week & said it's locked. So, my dreads are 9 days old, today.
